Etch the one page of your wonderful life

Good Morning.
“I am happy”
“I am thankful now for the blessings”
Say these words today to go into the spiral of happiness.

I recieved a letter from my grandmother.
It was a colorful and  cute picture letter with many “Thanks” written on it.

The letter goes:
“To my dear Hiromi,
Today 〇〇 and 〇〇 visited me to worship the Bon Festival.
I was  so glad to see them since I haven’t seen them for quite a long time.
The other day I received 〇〇 precious gift  from you.
I appreciate your kindness and full of heartwarming feelings.
Thank you very  much. I would like to use it with care.
My dear 〇〇 and 〇〇  had grown up well and they became very reliable adults.
I am thankful that this year I was able to attain my 96th year.
I owe this effort to all the people who supported me, Hiromi, my children, my grandchildren, my great grandchildren.
Also, my friends, my neighbors, and everyone who supported me, now I am able to live my life happily.

Looking back silently, my life had been eventful with many ups and downs.
But now I am thankful that I am able to live my life full of happiness.
I hope to see you again soon.
It is a very hot season so please take care of yourself and wish you good health.

My grandmother is my father’s mother.
My father passed away still young at the age of 29 because of a traffic accident.
My father’s brother also died after that.
It must have been a greatly deep greif for her.

However, now when she  look back at her life, she realize that her life has been wonderful.
Although she became old and unable to visit places on her own, she can write letters and draw pictures and appreciate people around her.

I am thankful from heart that I could learn much from her way of  living and her way of thinking towards life.
To be thankful and polite for every little things.

We tend to look for major or special events.
However, it is more important to be more polite to usual things that you might not realize and pass through.

If you be thankful and polite to people around you or every little things in life.
Then the time will come when you look back and you will realize that your life had been happy.
Today let’s be polite, be thankful for the precious one moment of your life. Let’s etch the one page of your wonderful life.
